What can you expect
from your elopement photographer?

resources & guidance

the day of

after

Planning an elopement can seem daunting, so I've put together some resources to help my couples navigate the planning process.

I know how awkward it can feel to be in front of the camera, so i try to make my couples as comfortable as possible.

so, you did it! you eloped and had the best experience together. Now what?

After booking, I'll send you my giant elopement guide, a custom list of location ideas, and a custom timeline based on our conversations about your day. While I'm not an elopement planner, I love to help guide you through the process and offer ideas!

I'll be here for you every step of the way and will gladly help with any questions you have. Whether you need to choose a location, pick a wedding outfit, or just can't figure out what to pack. I'm here for you!

Your elopement day won't feel like one long photo shoot- I'll just be there to document the day. No matter how big or small the moment is, I want it to feel natural and capture it just as it happened. Your day is all about your experience, not the photos! Don't worry about how your photos will turn out- I just want you to focus on enjoying your wedding day and let me handle the photos, because I'll make sure your day is captured in a way that you'll cherish for decades to come.

When we start your portraits, I'll turn on some music (if we don't have neighbors that we would be disturbing) and I'll start by shooting further back. I'll give you some prompts to break the ice and get you moving, and we'll go from there. I don't believe in "posing" in the traditional sense. I'll offer you suggestions and prompts to get a real, authentic interaction between the two of you. For example, I'll say "how do you like to hug after a long day?" instead of "hug each other and put your hand on their face." I might offer slight tweaks to make sure everything looks good on camera, but you'll still be able to look at your photos and see you.

Once your day is over and we've said our goodbyes, I'll go back to my hotel and back up all of your photos on three different drives and a cloud storage service. I'll probably start editing the sneak peeks that night at 2am because I literally cannot wait to see them. I'll always send you sneak peeks within 72 hours, depending on my travel back home. Your full edited gallery will be sent to you within 5 to 8 weeks for elopements and 3 to 5 weeks for couples sessions. I always try to get them to you sooner when my schedule allows for it!
